Casey Jones is Entertainments Director on board the luxurious Countess Georgina for her trip to the Caribbean. Casey’s days – and nights – are an endless stream of introducing guest speakers, placating prima donna singers and organizing feather-clad chorus girls.
But when a guest collapses during the second sitting at table two – and then later dies – and other strange things start happening on board, Casey finds herself involved in trying to uncover the truth behind the bizarre turn of events – helped by the gorgeous Cruise Doctor, Samuel Mallory.
Fifteen days ahead at sea, hopefully in good weather. I’ve cruised in a Force 9 gale and fell out of bed. I’ve seven lectures to give. This is a new ship for me so I am interested to see the lecture hall.
I need good lighting for me and my audience. There is always a vast amount of competition from dancing classes, painting classes, the gym, eating and drinking, sunbathing on deck, or simply watching the sea for dolphins.
Sadly the fair has gone from Worthing beach and the seagulls have the pebbles to themselves. I watched the men and women packing up their huge rides and afterwards carefully raking the beach over, so that it all looked tidy again.
If a beach is ever tidy. We get quite a lot of seaweed if the wind and the tide blow it in together. It’s going to be a wet and windy week-end so more writing and less walking.
